Tel Aviv University, Applied Mathematics Seminar Date: Tuesday January 15, 2013, 15:10 Place: Schreiber Bldg, Room 309 Speaker: Koby Rubinstein, Technion Title: Mathematical problems in nonimaging optics Abstract: Nonimaging optics involves the control of light intensity. This area is gaining considerable interest because of emerging applications to solar energy, solid state lighting, and more. We shall outline some of the basic concepts in nonimaging optical design and present solutions to a few canonical problems.
