Dear Colleagues,
Our next Colloquium in Mathematics and Computer Science will take
place on Tuesday, December 25, at 12:00.
Speaker: Prof. Vladimir Berkovich
Affiliation: Weizmann Institute, Rehovot, Israel
Title: Non-Archimedean Analytic Geometry
Date: Tuesday, December 25, 2012
Time: 12:00
Venue: Room 424/8, Science Building
Non-Archimedean analytic geometry is an analog of complex analytic
geometry over non-Archimedean (e.g., p-adic) fields. In the talk I'll
explain what non-Archimedean analytic spaces are, list basic facts
about them, and tell about their applications.
Light refreshments will be served at 11:45 am. Everybody is welcome.
Looking forward to seeing you all,
Anatoly Golberg, Dmitry Goldstein, Eugen Mandrescu
