TITLE: Random walks on groups: an Abramov formula.
ABSTRACT: Consider a random walk on a group G. If H is a recurrent
subgroup, one can define the induced random walk on H. In this talk, we
will relate the two random walk entropies. The proof involves the
understanding of a general stationary G-space and its induced stationary
H-space, and in particular the respective Furstenberg-Poisson boundaries.
The result follows from a more general Abramov type formula for this
setup. This is a joint work with Yair Hartman and Omer Tamuz.
