This talk today has been postponed or cancelled. It will be
replaced by another talk by Maxim Kazarian. See the separate
announcement for that.

Title: Mapping spaces in homotopy theory
Mapping spaces are combinatorial devices (simplicial sets) which model
the function space of topological spaces (with the compact-open
topology). They play an important role in modern abstract homotopy
theory. In this talk we shall explain their use in defining a "homotopy
theory" (also known as a quasi-category), discuss their relation
to model catgeories, and describe some of their basic properties, as
time permits.
