TITLE:   Liouville Comparison Theorems for Schroedinger and p-Laplacian-type Operators

ABSTRACT:
We shall prove a sufficient condition, in terms of the behavior of a ground state
of a given symmetric critical operator, such that a nonzero subsolution of another
symmetric nonnegative operator is a ground state. In particular, the second operator
admits a unique positive solution. A generalization to p-Laplacian-type operators
will also be discussed.
