Travel Information

Transportation from the Airport to Haifa:

A shuttle run by "Amal Taxi Co." provides transportation from Ben-Gurion Airport to Haifa. The cost is 56 Israeli Shekels (about $16) and the service is available around the clock.
There is a train from the airport to Haifa. For details please go to "Schedules and Fares" at http://www.israrail.org.il/english/index.html. Your departure station is "Ben-Gurion Airport", and your destination station is "Hof Ha-Carmel". Upon arriving in Haifa, you will need to take a taxi from the train station to your hotel; the day fare is about 40 Israeli Shekels. Please be advised that the train does not run from Friday afternoon until approx. 19:30 on Saturday night.
Taxi from the Airport to Haifa will cost about $80 (night fare is higher).
Information about transportation from Haifa back to the Airport will be provided at the conference.

Credit cards & Currency Exchange:

All major credit cards are accepted in Israel.
Most banks, including those at the Airport and on Campus, will exchange major currencies, such as USD and Euro, for Israeli Shekels (NIS).
Israeli Shekels can also be obtained at many Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), including the Airport and on Campus.
