Doing Homework Exercises with MathNet
MathNet has now been in operation for several years at the Technion.
Many students find it to be a helpful and convenient learning tool. We
hope that you too will benefit from it.
To get to MathNet go to the official website of the course and use the
link there.
If you are registered as a student of the course then you already have
an account in MathNet. To access it, type your i.d. number
at the login prompt. Your (temporary) password is also your i.d. number.
If you are not registered yet, you can open a temporary MathNet account
by using the link to "ptikhat kheshbon".
IMPORTANT: Before you start doing the "homework exercises" in MathNet
please be sure to do the special preparatory exercise ("Targil Hakhanah").
This will only take a few minutes, but it will save you a lot of
frustration and time later.
GETTING HELP: If you work in the computer farm of the mathematics
department, the support people there may be able to help you.
You can also request help from Alexander or Sedi, via a special email
connection. To access this connection click on "tmikha". Please do NOT
send requests for help with MathNet by writing to them by regular email.
In particular, should you wish to request an extension of the deadline for
submitting an exercise, because of some exceptional and special reason,
then you should ONLY use the link to "tmikha".
(The reason for this is to ensure that we receive all the information
required to take care of your request.)
