Subject: Tsiyuney Magen, Fourier Course


Dear Students:

In view of the current special situation, we have decided to make the
following changes for your tsiyuney ma'akav in the course

           Fourier Series and Integral Transforms.

1. The weight of the bakhan (mid term test) will be increased from
25% to 35%. (This was and is "magen".)

2. The maximum possible weight of the magen for homework exercises
will be increased from 10% to 15%.

3. At the beginning of the semester, we explained that the total weight of
the homework magen will depend on how well you score in homework questions
in the bakhan AND in the final exam. We will now change that so that
getting a score of 70% or better for the homework question in the bakhan
OR for the homework question in the final exam will now be sufficient for
the weight of your homework magen to have the maximum value, which is now
15%. (Scores lower than 70% for both of the homework questions, the one in
the bakhan and the one in the final exam, will mean that your homework
magen will have a weight proportionally lower than 15%.)

We will certainly continue trying to find other ways to help you during
this difficult time, including the continuation of the video tirgulim when
we have more questions and/or requests from you. But please understand
that we will not be helping you if we make it possible for you to try to
study courses in the subsequent semesters without properly knowing the
material of this semester.
